Tyler Perry Responds to Critics Who Say His Movies Negatively Portray Black Community

As a white Canadian female and a huge fan of not only his work but also of Madea, I have to say that I don't believe he portrays all black people or white people as bad. He shows, with humour, the varying abuses that can happen in any family regardless of race. He advocates for women and the impoverished. He also shows us the matriarchal ladies that used to look out for our neighbourhoods when I was a child. There are many cultures and areas where women would yell at the kids (if they were doing wrong) and let the parents know what their kids were up to; this is what we are missing in our societies today. These were the ladies that kept us safe and they were the social media/cameras of yesteryear now everyone is left alone and minding their own business and these little thugs get away with crap they never would have before when there was the neighbourhood grannies in charge!
